This week we are focusing on the ALLOW & LISTEN phases of the Facilitation Model

When we ALLOW as facilitators we trust our participants to work through the discussion, debate, research, problem solving, questioning, reflection and most importantly, thinking, without interference, even if they seem to be ‘in the pit’! This provides them with space, and allows collaborative discovery.

An outstanding facilitator also LISTENS. This global listening involves being fully present with the participants and suspending judgement. This allows the facilitator to tap into deeper meaning, and the unspoken words.
