Putting CPD at the heart of school improvement
Tendring Technology College host OLEVI Conceptualisation Day with a group of Executive Heads, Headteachers and SLTs from six schools, three secondary and three primary, from within their TSA.
The day provided the opportunity to have a taster of the OLEVI Learning Models – and their benefits – to schools looking to improve the quality of Teaching and Learning within their own schools, and provide effective CPD for their staff as part of an overall school improvement plan.
During the day attendees unpicked and explored issues that were relevant to them. They looked at how to develop closer alliances between primary and secondary schools – an area they were keen to foster, as they believed these relationships were key to establishing a more coherent approach to “doing what’s right for the children.” They were then able to identify staff from their schools with the potential to facilitate programmes and maximise impact in line with their goals.
“The day was well received,” said OLEVI Lead Facilitator, Eddie Hannifan. “There was a real sense of seeing eye-to-eye on the bigger picture, the moral purpose, and how our programmes could consolidate their vision. They understood how the OLEVI teaching, leadership, and coaching model, helps create, and then protect, the culture of excellence. DR ICE really struck home with the room.”
A productive and rewarding day was had by all and we look forward working in partnership with Tendering TSA.
“Fantastic week with our TSA colleagues launching out OLEVI partnership. An inspirational experience.”
